More Gabby

Gabby has had an eventful week! First, Nicole and Jeff came over and gave her a stuffed hedgepig, which is officially the first toy I have seen her play with. (She played with it for about 20 seconds, after much coaxing. After mothering so many puppies, she may be a little beyond toys, but we are trying!) Above are pictures of Gabby chasing Nicole with the hedgepig, looking out the screen door waiting for Kirsten, and hanging with Jeff. On Sunday, Gabby met Nicole and Jeff's golden retriever puppy Quickly.
On Saturday, Gabby and I went to the Wallingford Kiddie Parade, and stopped in to Wide World Books & Maps for a bowl of water and perusal (and purchase) of the Dog Lover's Companion to Seattle, which has given us lots of good ideas for walks. The fourth picture is of Gabby at Wide World. Gabby is so good with kids - she got lots of attention from the children at the parade!
Today, we took a walk with my friend Emily Stoll around Green Lake, after which Gabby was totally exhausted and I checked her for fleas. Kirsten took the last two pictures of us on the futon.
I also got Gabby's medical records in the mail, and it looks like her ninth birthday may be July 21! So, I am trying to think of how we can celebrate...it will be her first day of obedience classes, so hopefully that will be special!
We are going to the vet tomorrow evening, so I am taking Gabby to work tomorrow...we will see how she does at the office! I am lucky to have such an easygoing employer.

More Gabby pictures!

I came home from work today, and Gabby had escaped from her crate...but done absolutely nothing else, apparently! What a good dog!

After our walk, she sat with me on the couch and watched The Daily Show. I think she is a Jon Stewart fan! Here are some more pictures!
