Well, tomorrow I am off to Paris with Siv for another romantic trip (who needs a boyfriend?). I'll be back in a week, and then it will almost be time to come home!
I stayed up late tonight to watch the GOP debate, and made a lot of comments, but there's too much: anything I say just seems like a drop in the bucket. Judging by the absurdity of what I just witnessed, there's no way I'm voting for a Republican anytime soon. But that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone - I'm just trying to be open-minded. What I really want to know is: do those men actually represent half of my country?
(I just have to note: The obvious exception here is Ron Paul, who seems like a normal human being who has thought the issues through. He's the only one that doesn't make me want to throw up every time he opens his mouth, yet his party is apparently unwilling to give him any decent questions or airtime. I would totally vote for a Kucinich/Paul 2008 ticket, but, sadly, that seems an unlikely option.)

Visitors! Welsh edition
We had such a fun day in Cardiff today! We went to the castle, where we had a *wonderful* tour guide, and to the National Museum, had lunch in an excellent Welsh pub, and observed everybody who was there for the big Wales v. Ireland football (soccer) game. Then, we came back to Bath and had dinner at my local. The visit is going by too fast, but we are having such a wonderful time!

Visitors!
Well, Auntie and Uncle Ben made it safely! And surprisingly cheerful, seeing as how they flew all night! I went to the Bristol airport to meet them this morning, after staying up very late myself to write my paper - in fact, I finished it on my laptop waiting for them at the airport (phew!). It is so great to have them here. We just had time to check them into their B&B (which is just around the corner from my flat, and run by a really lovely couple, Les and Lindsay. Les is a Bath native, and Lindsay is Glaswegian - very Glaswegian. Can barely understand a word she says, although she's very friendly) and grab a pint at my favorite pub and talk about what we're going to do in the next few days before I had to run off to the one mandatory lecture of the whole quarter (talk about bad timing!). Then, we met for a quick dinner and they headed off to bed to sleep off their jet lag (I think it's remarkable that they made it until almost 9:30) and I am debating whether I want to go back and tweak my paper or just let it be. It is so nice to have visitors, and I'm so excited about this weekend! Hopefully I will have some pictures to post soon!
